Welcome to reform for life. My work stems from my deeply held belief that we all possess the tools needed to attain the levels of balance and harmony that many spend a lifetime looking for. Through a range of offerings and therapies I can help you make use of those tools; to recalibrate, renew and reform the parts of yourself that, in the hectic day to day of modern life, can often be neglected.

Personal wellbeing is a journey from the dark into the light. My own journey started with the tragic loss of my son; a deep and life shattering trauma which, at my lowest points, I was convinced I would never recover from. I was presented with a choice. The same choice that we are each given every day. To get worse, or to get better. Through a combination of therapies, both mental/emotional and physical, I have got to where I am today, and now that I know the miracles that these methods can work, I have made it my personal mission to share them with as many people as I can.

The journey we take in response to trauma can lead us to achieve a level of peace and an appreciation of life that might otherwise have passed us by. This journey to becoming a better version of ourselves, can be what defines and enriches our lives the most.

My journey started with mindfulness movement, and I’ve since spent 23 years working as a fully certified advanced Body Arts and Science International (BASI) Pilates instructor and internationally certified Ashtanga yoga teacher. I did my initial training in Bermuda and the US, before returning to South Africa to study under Rael Isacowitz. This is where I founded Re:form studios. While living in Cape Town I obtained my certification to teach Ashtanga yoga and then went on to work with Andre Oelofse of Body Technology in SA .

Eager to expand my repertoire I decided to study BSc Hons Psychology, and after graduation began my training in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy. My Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is with the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, accredited by the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the British Psychological Society (BPS). While there are numerous methodologies used in Hypnotherapy, all of the work done in our sessions is evidence based, established, peer-reviewed and approved by the BPS.

To compliment these modalities I have undergone mindfulness teacher training with The Mindfulness Now programme also under the approval of the BPS. Mindfulness training can be an important supplementary offering for any of our other sessions or courses, I’m excited to be able to offer this new modality to you.

My journey, and my experiences have gifted me with a wide breadth of knowledge on a range of approaches to improving my client’s quality of life. In my time as a multi-disciplinary practitioner, I’ve found that a combination of offerings, with each session tailored to the individual’s needs can have most positive effects. This has become my most powerful tool in ensuring that all of my clients can start on their journey to achieving balance, harmony and an improved quality of life.
